A couple of little-known facts: Meghan is her middle name. Her first name is Rachel. And her Birthday is the same as The late Queen Mother's, namely 4th August!
The other specualtion is about their future title. As it stands, any woman marrying into the British Royal Family simply takes on her husband's name and title. As Ms. Markle is not a princess by birth she would be automatically known as HRH Princess Henry of Wales (much as HRH Princess Michael of Kent). To avoid this anomaly, a royal prince is usually granted a title. What would this title be?
Most people are saying that Prince Harry will be created Duke of Sussex on the Wedding Day morning, making Meghan HRH The Duchess of Sussex. I have a feeling that there might be another option.
Due to his increasing involvement in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, HRH The Prince Edward was created Earl of Wessex and Viscount Severn on his Wedding Day to Sophie Rhys-Jones with a remainder on the title Duke of Edinburgh when the title becomes available again. What about the title of Duke of York? The present incumbent (HRH The Prince Andrew) has two daughters and unless the monarch at the time re-grants the title so that HRH Princess Beatrice becomes Duchess of York in her own right, the title will lapse. Traditionally the title of the second son, Harry could be granted an earldom first with a remainder on the York dukedom but that may depend on whether the Cambridge's third child is a daughter or a second son.
We shall see...
