The wedding itself took place on 20th April 1896 in the Chapel of Coburg Castle. But the festivities took place over a number of days and the menu appears to come from a dinner on the following day.
Part of the very elaborate design is the 'alliance' Coat of Arms of the Bride and Groom. The detail above clearly shows an Inescutcheon on top of the Coat of Arms of Saxony with the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom with a 5-pointed Label for the Bride. Although the representation isn't quite as detailed as one would have hoped for, this clearly supports the idea that the members of the British Royal Family who transferred to Saxe-Coburg and Gotha simply reversed their British personal Arms and continued to use their own individual Label.
