Just to mark the Wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor to Mr Thomas Kingston at St George's Chapel, Windsor in the bright, sunny, if slightly chilly Spring day on Saturday 18th May 2019. There was a good turn-out of the Royal Family; even the Duke of Edinburgh was present. Unfortunately, just like his brother Harry's wedding last year, the date clashed with the FA Cup Final and so, as President of the Football Association, the Duke of Cambridge couldn't exactly make it two years running that he did not turn up at the Final! |
Basically, it shows the Coat of Arms of her Father, HRH Prince Michael of Kent, but on a 'maidenly' Lozenge to represent an unmarried woman. In the representation shown here, there is presumably a ribbon missing which is usually tied in a bow to the top of the Lozenge.
It is debatable whether it will be used in the future as Ella is not armigerous in her own right, it is unsure whether her husband is and Coats of Arms are out of fashion for those Members of the Royal Family.
Here's wishing every happiness to the couple!
